ICC T-20 CWC : Historic win for Afghanistan against Australia

Afghanistan has achieved a historic victory over Australia. Afghanistan defeated Australia by 21 runs in the Super Eight match of the ongoing T-20 World Cup. This is the first time that Afghanistan has defeated Australia in a T-20 match.

Chasing the target of 149 runs given by Afghanistan, Australia scored 127 runs in 19.2 overs.

Glenn Maxwell scored 59 runs for Australia and other batter failed to support him. Similarly, the Afghanistan bowler bowled brilliantly in this match. For Afghanistan, Gulbadin Naib took the most 4 wickets while Naveen Ul Haq took 3 wickets. Similarly, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan took one wicket each.

Earlier, Afghanistan, who batted first, scored 148 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. For Afghanistan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 60 runs while Ibrahim Zadran scored 51 runs. Both shared 118 runs for the first wicket.
