{"id":13057,"date":"2024-03-25T19:23:33","date_gmt":"2024-03-25T13:38:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bagmatitimes.com\/bt\/?p=13057"},"modified":"2024-03-25T19:23:35","modified_gmt":"2024-03-25T13:38:35","slug":"cricketer-adil-ansari-proved-innocnet-by-court-in-match-fixing-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bagmatitimes.com\/bt\/cricketer-adil-ansari-proved-innocnet-by-court-in-match-fixing-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Cricketer Adil Ansari proved innocnet by court in match fixing case"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Cricketer Adil  Ansari who was accused of match fixing has been  innocent by Kathmandu District Court over a spot fixing case. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday, the bench of Judge Kamal Prasad Pokharel of Kathmandu District Court gave a clarification saying that the prosecution claim was not sufficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Former national cricket player Mehboob Alam and member of the Nepali national cricket team Adil Ansari were arrested on the charge of being involved in &#8216;spot fixing&#8217; in the Nepal T-20 league cricket held last year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ansari and Alam, who were arrested on Magh 9 2079, were released by the district court on bail of Rs.3 lakhs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police started an investigation into the suspicion of spot fixing in the Nepal T20 tournament held in Kirtipur, Kathmandu from Poush 9 to 27 last year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the investigation, police arrested Mahbub Alam, Adil Ansari and Nitesh Gupta. Nabin Kandel and Ravi Majhi, who the police claimed were involved in the fixing, were absconding.
