Janakpur Bolts have won the title of Nepal Premier League (NPL). Janakpur won the title by defeating Sudurpaschim Royals by five wickets in the grand final match at the Trivi Cricket Ground on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Janakpur completed the target of 185 runs given by Sudurpaschim by losing 5 wickets in 19.2 overs. Opener Lahiru Milantha batted brilliantly for Janakpur. He scored the highest 87 runs. He played 49 balls and hit 9 fours and 4 sixes. Similarly, another opener Asif Shaikh scored 33 runs off 19 balls by hitting 4 fours and two sixes. Harsh Thacker remained unbeaten on 30 runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For Sudurpaschim, Saif Zaib, Ishan Pandey, captain Dipendra Singh Airee, and Scott Kuggeleijn took one wicket each. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After winning the toss, Sudupashchim scored 184 runs after losing 9 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Openers Binod Bhandari and Saif Zaib got off to a good start for Sudurpaschim. They shared a partnership of 117 runs for the first wicket. Jaib, who scored a half-century, was dismissed after scoring 69 runs. He hit 8 fours and 2 sixes off 43 balls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bhandari scored 41 runs off 31 balls with the help of one-four and three sixes. Similarly, Brandon McMullen and Harmeet Singh scored 14 and 14 runs respectively. Scott Kugelin scored 13 runs while captain Dipendra Singh Airey scored 8 runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mohammad Mohsin and Kishore Mahato took three wickets each for Janakpur. Similarly, Jimmy Neesham and Lalit Rajvanshi took one wicket each. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Along with the title, Janakpur received Rs. 1.1 million rupees along with the trophy, while the runner-up Sudurpaschim received Rs. 5.1 million.
