The Armed Police Force (APF) Club has won the Prachanda Cup National Women’s Volleyball Tournament.APF won the title by defeating Nepal Police Club 3-0 in straight sets in the final match held at the Covered Hall of Pokhara Stadium on Saturday.APF defeated the Police in consecutive sets of 25-19, 25-20, and 25-13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Similarly, in the match for third place today, New Diamond defeated Everest Club in straight sets. New Diamond defeated Everest Club in consecutive sets of 25-8, 25-19, and 25-11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police had defeated APF in the first match of the league stage, while Police were the winners of the ninth NVA Cup tournament held in Pokhara about two weeks ago. APF took revenge on the Police and claimed the title. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The winning team in the competition received 600,000 rupees, the runner-up 300,000 rupees, and the third-place team received 100,000 rupees along with a trophy. Niruta Thagunna of APF was declared the best player of the tournament. Similarly, Jasna Mahato of APF was declared the best setter of the tournament, Usha Bhandari of Police was declared the best spiker, Srishti Khadki of APF was declared the best server, and Sumitra Regmi of New Diamond was declared the best blocker. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Salina Shrestha of New Diamond was declared the best libero, and Pushpa Jung Malla of APF was declared the best coach. The best player in the competition was awarded Rs 30,000, and the best coach in other categories, including setter, blocker, libero, server, and spiker, were awarded Rs 20,000 each.
