The first match of the league will be between defending champions Liverpool and Bournemouth, starting at 12:45 tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland have been promoted to the Premier League this season. Last season,the  bottom teams, Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton, were relegated. Semi-automatic offside technology is set to be fully used this season, while referee-worn cameras (Ref-Cams), which were trialled during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, are under consideration for use in the Premier League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Although not yet implemented, discussions are ongoing about limited home testing during the season. After a 25-year partnership, Puma has become the new official match ball supplier for the Premier League, succeeding Nike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top four clubs in the Premier League, which is contested by 20 clubs, will qualify for the UEFA Champions League, while the club in fifth place and winning the 2025-26 FA Cup will qualify for the Europa League.
