At the previous Asian Games, Erika had won a <strong>silver medal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, Erika was narrowly defeated <strong>2\u20131 by her familiar rival, Kazakhstan\u2019s Sofya Berultseva<\/strong>, in the semifinal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to that, competing in the <strong>over-68kg weight category<\/strong>, Erika secured her place in the semifinal with a comfortable <strong>7\u20131 victory over Jordan\u2019s Yara Nasir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other bronze-medal bouts held today, Nepalese <strong>karate kumite players Rakesh Manandhar and Min Bahadur Tamang<\/strong> also suffered defeats.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Karate player Arika Gurung has missed out on a medal at the 20th Asian Games, currently underway in Nagoya, Japan.
