Nepali leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane will play for Hobart Hurricanes in Australia’s Big Bash League next season. The next season of the Big Bash League starts on December 5.

For the fourth consecutive season, Sandeep has been confirmed to play in the Big Bash League. He played in the Big Bash League for the Melbourne Stars in the 2018 and 2019 seasons, after which he was signed by the Hobart Hurricanes last season. In the Big Bash League held in January this year, Sandeep played 8 games in which he took only 8 wickets.

Hurricanes have announced Sandeep’s contract by tweeting. The amount agreed between Hurricanes and Sandeep has not been disclosed.

The last time Sandeep played in the International Franchise League was in the Big Bash League, for various reasons he has not been able to play in other leagues. After the release of IPL team Delhi Capitals, no team bid for Sandeep in the auction.

Despite getting a chance to replace Rashid in the Pakistan Super League, he had to return home from Pakistan after the tournament was canceled due to Covid-19. He then lost two of England’s domestic leagues, the T20 Blast and The Hundred, due to visa problems. After arriving in England to play The Hundred League and being quarantined for 10 days, he returned home after his visa was not granted.
