‘Dhurandhar’ also sets a record in television premieres

The Bollywood film ‘Dhurandhar’ has set a new record by attracting over 53 million viewers through its world television premiere.

The film, which aired on Star Gold, Star Gold-2, and Colors Cineplex under the Geostar network, achieved the largest audience reach achieved by any world television premiere in the last five years. It is reported that the number of viewers the film received within four hours of its broadcast was 1.4 times more than the total number of viewers it reached during its three-month run in theaters.

Alok Jain, Head of Hindi and English Entertainment Business (Streaming, Television, and Studios), Geostar, said that the success of ‘Dhurandhar’ proves that the power of great storytelling is still strong.

He said that reaching over 53 million viewers is a huge achievement, adding that viewers are watching content across multiple mediums and each medium is further expanding its reach and impact.
