Atishi Marlena to be the next Chief Minister of Delhi
Atishi Marlena Singh is going to be the Chief Minister of Delhi state of India. After Chief Minister Kejriwal resigned today, Aam Aadmi Party has made Atishi the new Chief Minister.
According to Aaj Tak, Kejriwal, who is also the party president, proposed Atishi as the Chief Minister in the Aam Aadmi Party legislative party meeting.
Kejriwal, who is in jail in the alleged liquor scam case, had announced that he would resign as the Chief Minister as soon as he came out after being granted bail by the Supreme Court and would only become the Chief Minister after being elected by the people again. It is said that he will resign today afternoon.
43-year-old Atishi is the Education Minister in the current Delhi government. He is considered a pillar of Aam Aadmi Party. Even though the top leaders including Kejriwal are in jail, Atishi has given the successful leadership to Aam Aadmi Party which is expected to be given to him.
