Indian PM Modi meets World Cup winning Indian cricket team

The Indian cricket team, which won the T20 World Cup title, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Indian media mentioned that Prime Minister Modi had a lunch meeting with the Indian cricket team that arrived in Delhi from Barbados in the West Indies on Thursday morning at his residence.

According to Rajeev Shukla, the Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, today the Indian team will reach Mumbai by chartered flight. In Mumbai today, the cricket team will be given a victory parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

On this occasion, Shukla said that the amount of 125 crores announced by the board will also be transferred.

After the cancellation of the regular flight, the Indian Cricket Board arranged a special flight to bring the players, officials and journalists directly from Barbados to Delhi.

Earlier, the Indian team was scheduled to come to India from Barbados via New York-Dubai.
