Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister and left Bangladesh
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country. According to the BBC, she left the country and went to a ‘safe place’ after protesters broke into the Prime Minister’s residence and ransacked it.
According to media reports, Sheikh Hasina has left for Agartala, the capital of Tripura state of India. She went to India by helicopter. BBC has mentioned that he left the country with his sister.
After more than 100 people were killed in the protest on Sunday, the protest in Bangladesh turned violent.
