Powerful earthquake in Mexico

A magnitude 7.1 earthquake shook the region of Acapulco in Mexico’s Pacific resort on Tuesday.

One person has been reported dead in the quake. The quake shook buildings hundreds of kilometers away from the capital. The epicenter was reported 11 kilometers southeast of Acapulco in Guerrero state, according to the National Earthquake Department.

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said in a video message that there was no news of much destruction.
