Montana becomes the first US state to ban TikTok
Montana has become the first state of United State of America to ban TikTok. To address security concerns the state government has announced a complete ban on Tiktok.
The governor of Montana, Greg Gianforte, has clarified that the ban on TikTok is intended to protect the private information of the residents of the state of Montana from the Chinese Communist Party.
In December 2022, the Montana government banned the use of the app on state devices. The use of the social network has been banned in the federal government as well as in many US states. The ban on the network will be fully implemented from June 1.
