The Election Commission summoned Madhav Nepal & Mahanta Thakur’s party on September 26

The Election Commission has called on the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) led by Madhav Kumar Nepal and the Democratic Socialist Party led by Mahanta Thakur, Nepal for identification.

According to the Information Officer of the Commission, Komal Prasad Dhamala, both the parties have been called to the Commission for identification between 11:30 am and 2:00 am on September 25.

The Madhav Nepal faction, which split from the CPN-UML on Wednesday after the government brought an ordinance on party split, has filed a tender with the Election Commission for the registration of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Party. Similarly, the Mahanta Thakur group, which has split from the Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal, has filed an application with the Commission for the registration of the Democratic Socialist Party, Nepal.
