CPN-UML Chariman KP Oli stated that Communist govt was removed against public mandate
Chitwan: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has claimed that his party has been removed from the government against the constitution and mandate.
Addressing the closed session of the 10th General Convention of the party in Sauraha, Chitwan on Saturday, UML chairman Oli held other leaders of the erstwhile Nepal Communist Party responsible for the poor performance of the government and the party split.
“The party was divided with the participation of the leaders themselves,” he said, adding, “We were removed from the government against the mandate and the constitution.”
He claimed that unity between the NCP-Maoist Center and UML was aimed to ensure that the plot against the leftist alliance would be futile.
“After the elections there were attempts to prevent the communist parties from forming government, we decided unification to foil the plot,” Chairman Oli said, adding, “If the party had not united, the government would have collapsed at any moment. Unity was essential to stop that.”
