Prohibition and curfew lifted in Kathmandu Valley

The ban and curfew imposed in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur in the Valley have been lifted. The Nepali Army has been imposing a daytime curfew and nighttime curfew since the Gen Z Movement, but the curfew ended at 6 am this morning.

The curfew, which was in effect until 6 a.m., has expired, and no further notice has been received.

The situation in Kathmandu appears to be returning to normal after Sushila Karki was sworn in as the interim Prime Minister on Friday evening, as per the mandate of the Genji Movement. The streets of the Valley have been bustling since Saturday morning.
