‘Shraddhanjali’ program in memory of late Sita Dahal

On the first memorial day of Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’s late wife Sita Dahal, a ‘Shraddhanjali’ program has been organized.

In the program held today at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar, Prime Minister Prachanda and his family members presented bouquets and garlands to the picture of Sita Dahal.

Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of Maoist Center Narayankaji Shrestha, Vice Presidents Agni Sapkota, Pampha Bhusal and other party officials, party leaders and workers paid their respects in the tribute program.

Members of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, government employees, civil society leaders and citizens were present in the program. Remembering Sita, Party Vice President Shrestha expressed his commitment to protect the achievements gained from the People’s War and dedicate himself to the service of the people.


Stating that Sita will always be remembered as a warrior for change, Vice President Shrestha emphasized that the party should be united and move forward.

In the event, Prime Minister Prachanda released the book ‘Smriti Sita Dahal’. Sita Dahal, who was also the central adviser of the Maoist Center, was involved in the communist movement from 2028 and participated in the people’s war led by party president Prachanda from 2052.
