Rabi Lamichhane sent to Parsa

Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, who is in the custody of Kaski Police on charges related to cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering, has been taken to Birgunj in Parsa for investigation.

Lamichhane was brought to Kathmandu from Pokhara on Monday and then taken to Simra and from there to Birgunj by car. The police are investigating him in the cooperative fraud case.

An arrest warrant was issued against 14 people including Ravi after a complaint was received that Rs. Arrest warrants were issued against 14 people including National Independent Party chairman Lamichhane and his fugitive partner Jitendrababu Rai in the case of fraud of the savings of Sanopaila Cooperative Society.

The district court Parsa had issued arrest warrants against Lamichhane, who is also a former home minister, along with former DIG Chabilal Joshi, GB Rai, and Ram Bahadur Khanal.

In the investigation of the said cooperative, Chabi and Rabi were not dragged into the statement so far. Now that the arrest warrant has been issued, both of them have been taken to Parsa for statement after Chitwan.
