Violence against women will be stopped : Narayankaji Shrestha
Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha has said that all forms of violence against women will be stopped. Speaking at the ‘Workshop Conference on the Second National Action Plan on the Implementation of United Nations, Security Council Resolution No. 1325 and 1820 on Women, Peace and Security’ organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs , he said that the government is committed to punish the perpetrators of violence against women and give justice to the victims.
“The government will spare no effort to punish the perpetrators of violence against women and give justice to the victims,” he said. He said that these seminars gave him more courage to end violence against women.
Home Minister Shrestha said that after he assumed office in the Ministry of Home Affairs, peace security, crime control, ending violence against women and taking action against perpetrators were his top priorities, and he said that anyone who makes a mistake will be brought to justice.
