Communications Minister assures press freedom as all arrested journalists are released

Minister for Information and Communications Bikram Timilsina has stated that all arrested journalists have been released. Affirming that the government is fully committed to press freedom, he noted that freedom of the press and responsible journalism are the pillars of democracy.

He stated, “All the arrested journalists have been released. The government is fully committed to press freedom. Press freedom and responsible journalism are the cornerstones of democracy.”
