Sarbendra Khanal filed his candidacy from Tanahun-1
The nomination registration process is underway on Monday for the by-elections for the selection of members of the House of Representatives. Bye-elections are going to be held in Bara-2, Chitwan-2 and Tanahun-1 on 10 Baisakh for the selection of members of the House of Representatives.
For which the nomination registration process is going on on Monday. Former Inspector General of Police Sarbendra Khanal has registered his nomination from Tanahun 1 on behalf of UML.
UML central member Bhagwati Neupane is the proponent of Khanal and Ek Bahadur Rana, UML central council advisory member, is the supporter. Govind Bhattarai from Nepali Congress and Swarnim Wagle from Rastriya Swotantra Party are also filing nominations. The Election Commission has fixed the time for nominations till 5 PM today.
