Bir hospital & Trauma center to operate OPD from 8 AM
The OPD service will be operated from 8 am to 4 pm in Bir Hospital and Trauma center from 1st of Shrawan.
According to the decision made by the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), the program to operate OPD services at Bir Hospital from 8 am is going to be implemented from today.
However, some doctors under NYM have been objecting to this decision. Faculty Doctors Association (FDA), an organization of professors of NAMs, issued a statement against this decision.
The FDA said that since the morning audit and clinical classes of all the departments start at 8 am, starting the OPD at the same time will affect the classes.
Three thousand patients have been availing of OPD services daily from the Hospital.
Chief of Trauma Centre, Dr Badri Rijal said the OPD services have been started from 8.15 am at the Centre. The service has been started in the morning at all the departments under the Centre.
