Balen Shah takes oath as Prime Minister
Balen Shah has taken the oath of office as Prime Minister. President Ram Chandra Poudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Balen as the country’s 43rd Prime Minister at a program organized at Sheetal Niwas.
Before the oath-taking, Shankhanath was chanted from 7 conches, Swasti Shanti was recited from 108 Batuks, and Shubh Mangal was recited from 108 Buddhist monks.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, outgoing Prime Minister Sushila Karki, and other dignitaries.
Earlier today, President Ram Chandra Poudel appointed Balen, a member of the House of Representatives, as the Prime Minister of Nepal in accordance with Article 76 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal.
