The US Embassy hands over various digital forensic equipment to the Nepal Police

The US Embassy in Nepal has handed over state-of-the-art software, hardware, and other technical equipment related to digital forensics to the Nepal Police’s Digital Forensics Laboratory. 

The equipment was handed over at a program organized at the Nepal Police Headquarters on Tuesday in the presence of Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki and US Acting Ambassador to Nepal Scott Arbum. 

Addressing the program, Inspector General of Police Karki mentioned that the US Embassy has been providing modern equipment, specialized software, and technical support to enhance the capacity of the Nepal Police’s Digital Forensic Laboratory. .

He said that such support is a symbol of trust, friendship, and shared commitment between Nepal and the US. 

At the event, US Charge d’Affaires Scott Arbam expressed confidence that the transferred equipment would play a significant role in expanding the capabilities of the Nepal Police’s Digital Forensic Laboratory. He said that the use of modern technology would make crime investigation and evidence collection more effective.
