Nepal women’s team lost to Malaysia women’s team in the semi-final

Nepal lost to Malaysia in the semi-finals of the ACC Women’s Premier Cup.

In the semi-final concluded on Friday, Malaysia defeated Nepal by 4 wickets.

Chasing the target of 116 runs given by Nepal, Malaysia achieved the target by losing 6 wickets in 19.5 overs. Batter Elsa Hunter scored an unbeaten 69 runs to win over Malaysia.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Nepal batted first and scored 115 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs.

For Nepal, captain Indu Barma scored 29 runs while Kabita Kunwar scored 23 runs, Rubina Chhetri scored 20 runs, Sita Rana Magar scored 6 runs, Dolly Bhatta scored 25 runs and Kabita Joshi scored 2 runs.

With this win, host Malaysia will play UAE in the finals of the tournament. With this, UAE and Malaysia have been selected for the Women’s Asia Cup in 2024.
