IPL 2024 : Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s consecutive home defeat

Lucknow Super Giants defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Lucknow defeated RCFB by 28 runs in last night’s match.

Chasing the target of 182 runs given by Lucknow, Bengaluru lost the match by 28 runs after scoring 153 runs in 19.4 overs. This is Bengaluru’s second straight defeat at their home ground.

Mahipal Lomror of Bengaluru scored the highest 33 runs. He played 13 balls and hit 3 fours and 3 sixes.

Rajat Patidar 29, Virat Kohli 22, Faf Du Plessis 19, Mohammad Siraj 12 and Anuj Rawat were dismissed for 11 runs. Lucknow’s Mayank Agarwal took the most 3 wickets.

Naveen Ul Haq took 2 wickets while Yash Thakur, Marcus Stoinis and Manimaran Siddharth got 1 wicket each.

Lucknow lost the toss and batted first at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru

Quinron De Kock scored the highest 81 runs for Lucknow. He played 56 balls and hit 8 fours and 5 sixes. Marcus Stoinis was dismissed for 24, KL Rahul for 20 and Devdutt Padikkal for 6 while Nicholas Pooran remained unbeaten on 40.

Bengaluru’s Glenn Maxwell took the highest 2 wickets. Reece Topley, Yash Dayal and Mohammad Siraj took 1 wicket each.

This is Lucknow’s second win in the third match this season, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru have one win and third loss in the fourth match.
