10th National Games to be held in the first week of Falgun
The 10th National Games are scheduled to be held in the first week of Falgun 2082 BS. The 123rd board meeting of the National Sports Council (NSC) held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Minister for Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta decided to hold the 10th National Games in Karnali Province from Falgun 1 to 7.
The meeting has decided to recommend to the Council of Ministers to award a cash award of Rs 2.5 million to former runner Jit Bahadur KC, who won Nepal’s first international medal.
Similarly, the National Sports Association, which has not held a national competition for a long time, will be instructed to hold a national competition within 3 months, and the National Sports Association itself will provide the facilities and prizes announced by the players to the concerned players within 15 days.
The Sports Association has decided to instruct the National Sports Council to submit a report on foreign visits.
The meeting, facilitated by NSC Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising, was attended by NSC Vice-Chairman Dhruv Acharya, Secretary of the Ministry of Sports Dr. Hari Prasad Lamsal, board members, and others.
