NPL : Sudurpaschim win over Karnali, Karnali also reached playoffs
The four teams that will reach the playoffs in the Nepal Premier League NPL have been decided.
Karnali also reached the playoffs after Sudurpaschim Royals defeated Karnali Yaks by 6 wickets. Sudurpaschim royals achieved the target of 102 runs given by Karnali by losing 4 wickets in 15.2 overs.
Dipendra Singh Aireed was dismissed after scoring 38 runs . He shared a 67-run partnership with Ishan for the fourth wicket. Ishan Pandey remained unbeaten on 38 runs.
Opener Saif Zaib scored 11 runs, Binod Bhandari scored four runs, McMullen scored three runs. On the other hand, captain Sompal Kami, Nandan Yadav, and Bipin Sharma took one wicket each for Karnali.
Before that, Karnali, who lost the toss and batted first, scored 101 runs in 19.5 overs losing all wickets.
Jisan Maksude scored the highest 30 runs for Karnali. Similarly, William Bossito was dismissed for 16, opener Babar Hayat for 13, and Chadwick Walton for 11 runs.
Captain Sompal Kami scored 11 runs while Gulsan Jha was dismissed for two runs.
On the other hand, for Sudur, Harmit Singh took three wickets, captain Dipendra Singh Airey bowled four overs and took two wickets for 20 runs. Scott Kugelin and Saif Zaib took a wicket each.
The team that will reach the playoffs in the ongoing competition has been decided. Along with Janakpur Bolts, Chitwan Rhinos, Sudurpaschim Royals and Karnali Yaks have entered the playoffs.
