Chasing the target of 225 runs given by Delhi, Gujarat lost 8 wickets in 20 overs after scoring 220 runs and lost the match by 4 runs. Earlier, Delhi batted first and scored 224 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs.
This is Delhi Capitals fourth win this season. After this victory, Delhi has 8 points in 9 games with 4 wins and 5 losses and has risen to the sixth position in the points table. Similarly, Gujarat also has 8 points with 4 wins and 5 losses in 9 matches and is in seventh place.
