UEFA Euro 2024 : England reached semi finals
England has reached the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2024. England reached the semi-finals of the tournament by defeating Switzerland 5-3 in a penalty shoot-out in the quarter finals
After both countries scored 1-1 in the scheduled 90 minutes, the match was played in extra time of 30 minutes. After 30 minutes of extra time there was no goal, the game was decided by a penalty shoot out. Swiss player Akanji missed the penalty in the penalty shootout.
In the previously scheduled 90-minute match, Switzerland’s Breel Mbolo scored the first lead in the 75th minute of the game, while Bukayo Saka equalized for England in the 80th minute of the game.
After this victory, England will now play the winner between the Netherlands and Turkey in the semi-finals. Similarly, Spain and France are playing in the other semi-final.
