ICC U-19 WC : Nepal lost against Pakistan

Nepal lost to Pakistan in the ongoing ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup. Pakistan defeated Nepal by 5 wickets.

Chasing the target of 198 runs given by Nepal, Pakistan scored 201 runs by losing 5 wickets in 47.4 overs.

In Pakistan’s victory, Azan Awais scored an unbeaten 63 runs . Shamyl Hussain and Shahzaib Khan scored 37 runs each.

Nepali bowler Akash Chand took 3 wickets while Akash Tripathi and Dipesh Kandel took one wicket each.

Earlier, in the Group D match, Nepal won the toss and scored 197 runs in 50 overs after winning the toss and batting first.

Bipin Rawal scored 39 runs for Nepal. Deepak Dumre scored 26 runs and captain Dev Khanal scored 23 runs. Similarly, Gulshan Jha scored 18 runs, Dipesh Kandel scored 13 runs, and Subash Bhandari scored 20 runs. Similarly, Arjun Kumal and Akash Tripathi scored 6 runs each, while Uttam Magar scored 4 runs and Akash Chand scored 16 unbeaten runs.

Pakistan’s bowler Arafat Minhas took the most 3 wickets while Ahmed Hussain and Ubaid Shah took 2 wickets each. Similarly, Khubaib Khalil, Mohammad Zeeshan and Ali Asfand took one wicket each.

With this victory, Pakistan has won its second consecutive victory. In Group D, Pakistan and New Zealand secured their place in the Super Six by winning 2-2 matches. Now Nepal will play against Afghanistan on January 26. The winner of that match will reach the Super Six.
