Nepal U-16 wins ACC U-16 East Zone Cup
Nepal won the title of ACC U-16 East Zone Cup by defeating Malaysia with a huge margin of 221 runs.
Chasing the target of 253 runs given by Nepal , Malaysia scored only 31 runs in 14.4 overs
While destroying the batting line of Malaysia, Nepali bowler Abhishek Tiwari took the most 5 wickets while Santosh Yadav took 3 wickets and Sagar Gaire and Ashok Dhami took one wicket each.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Nepal batted first and scored 252 runs losing 8 wickets in 35 overs.
Naren Bhatt played an unbeaten century of 112 runs for Nepal. Naren scored 112 runs off 89 balls by hitting 10 fours and 2 sixes.
Similarly, Niraj Kumar Yadav scored 47 runs, Santosh Yadav scored 26 runs, Suryanshu Koirala scored 18 runs, Ashok Dhami scored 11 runs.
Nepal previously won this title by defeating Singapore and Malaysia in the finals of the tournament held in 2017 and 2019.
