Nepal won by 33 runs after Melbourne Renegades, chasing the target of 140 runs set by Nepal, were all out for 106 runs in 20 overs. Sompal Kami bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets in Nepal’s victory. Similarly, Kushal Bhurtel took 2 wickets, while Shahab Alam and Rupesh Singh took one wicket each.
Earlier, Nepal won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 139 runs in 20 overs, losing 9 wickets. Sompal Kami bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets. Kushal Bhurtel took 2 wickets, while Shahab Alam and Rupesh Singh took one wicket each.
For Nepal, Kushal Malla scored the highest score of 29 runs, while Lokesh Bam scored 24, captain Dipendra Singh Airi scored 27, Bhim Sarki scored 17, Arif Sheikh scored 12 runs, and Rupesh Singh scored an unbeaten 16 runs.
Melbourne bowlers Fergus O’Neill, Callum Stowe, Lachlan Bangs, and Michael Archer took 2 wickets each. This is Nepal’s second win in the ongoing series. After three consecutive losses in the previous series, Nepal has won two consecutive matches. Nepal is now scheduled to play Pakistan A on Friday.
