NPL-2: Sudurpaschim starts with a win, defeats Kathmandu by 29 runs

Sudurpaschim Royals have made a winning start to the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL). Sudurpaschim Royals defeated Kathmandu Gorkhas by 29 runs in the match held on Wednesday.

Chasing the target of 148 runs set by Sudurpaschim, Kathmandu Gorkhas were all out for 118 runs in 16.5 overs.

For Kathmandu Gorkhas, Akash Tripathi scored the highest score of 34 runs, while John Sampson scored 24, and Sunny Patel scored 10 runs. Similarly, Sudurpaschim bowlers Scott Kugeleijin, Hemant Dhami and Harmit Dhami took 2 wickets each .

Earlier, Sudurpaschim Royals, who had lost the toss and batted first, were all out in 20 overs and scored 147 runs.
