NPL-2: 3rd consecutive wins for Biratnagar Kings
Biratnagar Kings have registered their third consecutive win in the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Biratnagar defeated Janakpur Bolts by 9 runs in the match held on Monday.
Chasing a target of 136 runs set by Biratnagar, Janakpur scored 126 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. For Janakpur, Jan Nicole Lofty top-scored with 41 runs while Lahiru Milanta scored 23 runs. Similarly, Biratnagar bowler Sandeep Lamichhane took 4 wickets while Surya Tamang took 2 wickets.
Earlier, Biratnagar, who were invited to bat after losing the toss at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, scored 135 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For Biratnagar, opener Lokesh Bam was dismissed for 28 runs off 26 balls, while George Munsey was dismissed for 10 runs.
