IPL 2024 : Gujarat Titans thrilling win over Mumbai
Gujarat Titans defeated Mumbai Indians by 6 runs in the on going Indian Premier League (IPL). After this victory, Gujarat has gained an important 2 points, while Mumbai has lost again in the first match of the IPL season. Mumbai have yet to win their first IPL match since 2013.
Chasing the target of 169 runs given by Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians lost the match by 6 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs and scored only 162 runs.
For Mumbai, Dewald Brevis scored 46 runs while Rohit Sharma scored 43 runs. Similarly, Tilak Barma scored 25 and Tim David and captain Hardik Pandey scored 11 runs each.
Similarly, Gujarat Titans bowlers Azmatullah Omarzai, Umesh Yadav, Spencer Johnson and Mohit Sharma took 2 wickets each while Sai Kishore took one wicket.
Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Gujarat scored 168 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs.
For Gujarat, Sai Sudarshan scored 45 runs while skipper Shubman Gill scored 31 runs. Similarly, Rahul Tewatia scored 22 runs, Wriddhiman Shah scored 19 runs, and Azmatullah Omarzai scored 17 runs.
Similarly, Mumbai Indians bowler Jasprit Bumrah took the most 3 wickets, while Gerald Coetzee took 2 wickets and Piyush Chawla took one wicket.
