Indian Premier League : Royal Challengers Bangalore eliminated
Royal Challengers Bangalore have been eliminated from the playoffs of Indian Premier League after losing to Gujarat Titans. Gujarat defeated Bangalore by 6 wickets. Chasing the target of 198 runs given by Bangalore, Gujarat achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in 19.1 overs.

Shubman Gill played a century of 104 runs while Vijay Shankar scored 53 runs in Gujarat’s victory. After losing the toss and batting first, Bangalore scored 197 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs with the help of Virat Kohli’s 101 runs.

Gill has made a record of scoring two consecutive centuries in the IPL. Virat Kohli, who scored a century in this match, has also become the player to score consecutive centuries in IPL. The number of players who have scored two consecutive centuries in IPL history has reached four. In which Shikhar Dhawan and Jos Buttler are present along with Gill and Kohli.

With this defeat, Bangalore is out of the race for the playoffs, while Mumbai Indians reached the playoffs by staying in fourth place. Along with this, Gujarat reached the top position and reached the playoffs, while Chennai Super Kings reached the second place, Lucknow Super Giants third and Mumbai Indians reached the playoffs.
The first play off match will be between Gujrat Titans and Chennai Super Kings on May 23, Tuesday . The second play off is going to be between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians on May 24, Wednesday. Final of this season of IPL is on May 28, Sunday.
