UEFA Euro 2024 : Spain into semi final beating host Germany
Spain has reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Euro 2024. In the quarter-finals Spain defeated the host Germany by 2-1 and reached the semi-finals of the tournament.
Dani Olmo and Mikel Merino scored one goal in Spain’s win. Olmo scored in the 51st minute of the game to give Spain the early lead.
]Then, in the 89th minute of the game, Florian Wirtz scored the equalizing goal for Germany. After both countries scored 1-1 in the scheduled 90-minute match, the match was played in extra time of 30 minutes.
Then Merino scored for Spain in the 119th minute of the game and made Spain the winner.
In this match, Spain’s Dani Carvajal left the field after receiving a double yellow card in the 120th minute of the match.
Now Spain will play the winner of Portugal and France in the semi-finals.
