Mason Mount the new No.7 in Manchester United
Manchester United has officially announced the signing of English attacking midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea. United have spent £60m on the 24-year-old Mount.
Mount will wear the iconic jersey number 7 at Manchester United. Mount, who was under contract at Chelsea until June 2024, left the club a year ago.
Mount played four seasons at Chelsea. During this period, he played 195 matches and scored 33 goals. He joined Chelsea from Derby County in 2019. Mount, who debuted in England’s national team in 2019, has played 36 matches and scored 5 goals.
While playing for Chelsea, Mount won the Champions League once, the FIFA Club World Cup once and the UEFA Super Cup once.
