Global selection for the T20 Women’s World Cup to be held in Nepal

The global selection for the ICC T20 Women’s World Cup is set to be held in Nepal. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Thursday that the global qualifiers for the World Cup will be held in Nepal.

The tournament will be held from January 12 to February 2, 2026. Ten countries, including Nepal, will participate in this qualifying tournament. Nepal qualified for the global qualifiers for the first time, finishing second in the Asian qualifiers.

Thailand and Nepal were selected from the Asian qualifiers, while the United States was selected from the US regional qualifiers. Similarly, Bangladesh and Ireland will play in the global qualifiers as they will be participating in the ICC Women’s World Cup in 2024.

Similarly, 2 countries from Africa and Europe are yet to be decided in the global qualifiers, and one country from the East Asia-Pacific qualifiers is yet to be decided. The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, jointly hosted by England and Wales, will be held from June 12 to July 5, 2026.
