IPL : Delhi beats Gujarat in low scoring encounter

Delhi defeated Gujarat by 6 wickets in last night’s match of Indian Premier League (IPL).

Chasing the target of just 90 runs given by Gujarat, Delhi completed it by losing 4 wickets in 8.5 overs. Jack Fraser McGrook scored the highest 20 runs for Delhi. Captain Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten on 16 runs while Shai Hope and Abhishek Porel were dismissed for 15 run

Sandeep Warrier took the highest 2 wickets,Spencer Johnson and Rashid Khan took 1 wicket each for Gujarat

After losing the toss at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Gujarat scored 89 runs in 17.3 overs losing all wickets.

Rashid Khan scored the highest 31 runs for Gujarat. He played 24 balls and hit 2 fours and 1 six. Apart from Shai Sudarshan scoring 12 and Rahul Tewatia scoring 10 runs, the other batsmen could not reach double figures.

Mukesh Kumar took the most 3 wickets for Delhi. Tristan Stubbs and Ishant Sharma took 2 wickets each while Khalil Ahmed and Axar Patel took 1 wicket each. With the win, Delhi has climbed to sixth place with 6 points in 7 matches. Defeated Gujarat have 6 points from the same match. Gujarat is ranked seventh.
