IPL 2024 : Mumbai Indians consecutive loss

Mumbai Indians suffered their third consecutive defeat in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In last night’s match, Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians by 6 wickets.

Chasing the target of 126 runs given by Mumbai, Rajasthan achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in 15.3 overs. Mumbai, who won the toss and batted first, lost 8 wickets in 20 overs and scored only 125 runs.

Riyan Parag remained unbeaten and scored the highest 54 runs for Rajasthan. He played 39 balls and hit 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Ravichandran Ashwin was out for 16, Josh Buttler 13, skipper Sanju Samson 12 and Yashasvi Jaiswal 10 while Shivam Duve remained unbeaten on 8.

Akash Madhwal took the most 3 wickets. Kwena Mafaka got 1 wicket for Mumbai.

Mumbai, who were invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Wankhede Stadium, scored 125 runs by losing 9 wickets in the over.

Trent Boult took the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Naman Dhir and Dewald Brevis. They could not open the account of the run. Similarly, Yuzvendra Chahal also took 3 wickets.

Nandre Burger took 2 wickets while Avesh Khan got 1 wicket.

Captain Hardik Pandey scored 34 runs for Mumbai. Tilak Verma 32, Tim David 17 and Ishan Kishan scored 16 runs while Jasprit Bumrah 8 and Akash Madhwal remained unbeaten with 4 runs.

This is Mumbai Indians’ third consecutive defeat this season. Similarly, Rajasthan Royals have won their third consecutive victory in this season. Rajasthan is at the top of the points table with 6 points in 3 matches.
