Dutch setter Danique Aardema signs for Madhesh United
Madhesh United has signed Dutch player Danique Aardema for the second edition of the Vatsalaya Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWVL). Madhesh has announced Aardema as its second foreign player. Earlier, Madhesh United had announced the name of Dutch outside hitter Romee Veenstra.
Aardema, who stands 175 cm tall, is an experienced setter who has been performing remarkably well playing for top-tier clubs in the Netherlands. Aardema has gained experience playing for various clubs in the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany throughout her career.
Recently, she has been performing well playing for Sudosa-Desto, a club in the top division of the Netherlands. In 2024, she also managed to win the Netherlands Youth National Championship.
Madhesh United is very happy to sign Aardema to the team. The team is confident that Aardema can provide a powerful attack for the team, overwhelming the opposition, and that he can be a decisive player as the team’s main setter, controlling both the team’s strategy and momentum, and winning games.
Aardema said she is very excited to be a part of the Everest Women’s Volleyball League and especially to join Madhesh United. Her goal is to make a meaningful contribution to helping Madhesh United win the Everest Women’s Volleyball League title. She also has a goal to further expand the volleyball culture by playing in Nepal.
Madhesh United’s marquee player is Niruta Thagunna, while model and actress Niti Shah is the team’s brand ambassador.
The second edition of the Vatsalya Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWVL), organized by Infinity Dreams, will be held in Pokhara from Bhadra 20 to 28 (September 5-13).
