Chennai Super King into the final of IPL 2023
Chennai Super Kings have reached the finals of the Indian Premier League (IPL) defeating Gujarat Titans by 15 runs. Chasing the target of 173 runs given by Chennai, Gujarat scored 157 runs in 20 overs.
For Gujarat, Shubman Gill scored 42, Rashid Khan 30, Dasun Shanaka 17, Vijay Shankar 14, Wriddhiman Saha 12. Similarly, Chennai bowlers Deepak Chahar, Maheesh Theekshana, Ravindra Jadeja and Matheesha Pathirana took 2 wickets each while Tushar Deshpande took one wicket. Earlier, Chennai, who lost the toss had batted first, scored 172 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Ruturaj Gaikwad top scored 60 runs for Chennai while Devon Conway scored 40 runs. Similarly, Ravindra Jadeja scored 22 runs, Ajinkya Rahane and Ambati Rayudu scored 17 runs each. Similarly, Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma took 2 wickets each while Darshan Nalkande, Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad took one wicket each.
Chennai reached the final of the IPL for the 10th time in the history of the IPL. Similarly, Gujarat, which was defeated, will get an opportunity to play in the second qualifier. In the second qualifier, Gujarat will face the winner of Lucknow Super giants and Mumbai Indians in the eliminator.
