IPL retained and released the players
Before the mega auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the franchise retained and released the players.
The franchises have submitted the list of retained players to the Board of Control for Cricket in India today.
Delhi has released captain Rishabh Pant, Kolkata has released captain Shreyas Iyer and Lucknow has released captain KL Rahul.
Chennai Super Kings have retained their captain Ruturaj Gaekwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Duve, Srilankan bowler Mathisa Pathirana and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Similarly, defending champions Kolkata have retained Sunil Naran, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh, Harshit Rana and Varun Chakraborty. Kolkata has released captain Shreyas Iyer.
Similarly, Lucknow Super Giant has also released captain KL Rahul. Lucknow has retained Nicholas Puran, Mayank Yadav, Ravi Vishnoi, Mohsin Khan, and Ayush Badoni.
Similarly, Sunrisers Hyderabad have retained Heinrich Klaasen, Pat Cummins, Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Nitish Kumar Reddy.
