Nepal fails to secure third place, Hongkong beats Nepal
Hong Kong defeated Nepal by 4 wickets in the ACC Premier Cup third place match. Nepal, which is the defending champion of the ACC Premier Cup, failed to qualify for both the Asia Cup and the Emerging Teams Asia Cup, being the fourth in this competition.
Chasing the target of 140 runs given by Nepal, Hong Kong achieved the target by losing 6 wickets in 19.3 overs. Earlier, after winning the toss and batting first, Nepal scored 139 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs.

Dipendra Singh Airee scored the highest 44 runs for Nepal. Sandeep Jora scored 22 runs, captain Rohit Paudel scored 21 runs, Kushal Malla scored 13 runs, Sompal Kami scored 12 runs.
Ayush Sukla took the most 3 wickets while Attik Iqwal, Yasim Murtaza and Ehsan Khan took one wicket each for Hongkong.
With this victory, Hong Kong has been selected for the upcoming ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. Oman, UAE and Hong Kong have been selected for the Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
