Nepal eliminated from ICC world cup qualifiers
Nepal has been eliminated from the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers. After losing by 7 wickets to the Netherlands on Saturday, Nepal has been eliminated from the group stage of the qualifiers.
The target of 168 runs given by Nepal was completed by the Netherlands by losing 3 wickets in 27.1 overs. Earlier, after losing the toss, Nepal batted first and scored 167 runs in 44.3 overs.
For Nepal, captain Rohit Paudel scored 33 runs while Sandeep Lamichhane and Kushal Bhurtel scored 27-27 runs. Likewise, Bhim Sarki scored 22, Gulshan Jha scored 15, Dipendra Singh Airee scored 14, and Kushal Malla scored 12.
Similarly, Dutch bowler Logan Van Beek took 4 wickets, while Bass de Leed and Vikramjit Singh took 2 wickets each. Similarly, Clayton Floyd and Aryan Dutt took one wicket each.
With this win, the Netherlands secured their spot in the Super Six from Group A. Along with the Netherlands, West Indies and Zimbabwe have also secured their place in the Super Six from Group A. From Group A, Nepal and America have been eliminated from the group stage.
