Palesha honored by the Congress with an award of five lakhs
The Nepali Congress has honored Palesha Govardhan, a bronze medal winner in the Para Olympic Games, with a cash award.
Party Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba honored Palesha with a cash prize of 5 lakhs on Sunday.
Palesha won bronze medal by defeating Marija Michev 15-8 in women’s under 57 kg competition under K-44 category held under Paris Paralympics-2024. With this, she has become the first Nepali athlete to win a medal in the Paralympics.
