Farewell to the national women’s football team heading to Uzbekistan

The All Nepal Football Association has bid farewell to the Nepali national women’s football team, which is leaving for Uzbekistan to play in the FC Women’s Asia Cup Qualifiers.

The ceremony, which was graced by the chief guest, Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dr. Hari Prasad Lamsal, was attended by ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Vice President Dawa Lama, Acting General Secretary Damodar Bhattarai, Central Members Sarila Shrestha, Tika Lama, Chief Executive Officer Indraman Tuladhar, and others, who have bid farewell.

Nepal is leaving tomorrow to play the qualifiers. National team head coach Patrick de Wilde has selected a 21-member Nepali national women’s football team to play in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers.

Nepal Squad:

Goalkeepers: Anjila Tumbapo Subba, Usha Nath, and Anjana Rana Magar.

Defenders: Geeta Rana, Nisha Thokar, Samishka Ghimire, Manmaya Damai, Pratiksha Chaudhary, Vimala Vick, Pooja Rana, and Amrita Jaishi.

Midfielders: Bimala Chaudhary, Anita Basnet, Renuka Nagarkote, Preeti Rai, Saru Limbu, Savita Rana Magar, and Saraswati Hamal.

Forwards: Sabitra Bhandari, Rashmi Kumari Ghising, Chandra Bhandari, Anita KC, and Rekha Poudel.
