ICC T-20 CWC : India into semi final beating Australia
India has reached the semi-finals of the ongoing T-20 World Cup. After defeating Australia by 24 runs in the final match of the Super Eight, India reached the semi-finals of the tournament.
Chasing the target of 206 runs given by India, Australia scored 181 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Travis Head scored 76 runs for Australia while Indian bowler Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets and Kuldeep Yadav took 2 wickets.
Earlier India lost the toss and batted first with the help of captain Rohit Sharma’s batting of 92 runs and scored 205 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs.
Virat Kohli went for a duck, Surya Kumar Yadav scored 31 , Shivam Dube scored 28, Hardik Pandya scored 27 , Rishabh Pant scored 15 and Ravundra Jadeja scored 9 runs for India.
After this victory, India has reached the semi-finals by being the top of Group A of the Super Eight and will now play against England on June 27 in the semi-finals.
Likewise, after this defeat, Australia’s semi-final journey is in jeopardy. Now, only after the match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh on Tuesday morning, the second country that will reach the semi-finals from Group 1 will be decided.
